Cops for Kids

The Tuscola Police department operates a “Cops for Kids” program, established by Officer Scott Reed, in 2009.  The program provides Christmas gifts to under-privileged children in our community.   Under the program, the department conducts fundraising activities and solicits monetary donations from local businesses and individuals prior to the holiday season.    Tuscola Police Department staff work with the parents, guardians and caregivers of the children to make sure the children get the holiday gifts they want and need.  The staff shops for the gifts, wraps them and hosts a party for the kids to get their gifts.    If donations allow, new school clothes, family dinners or other needed items are also provided.

2022 Cops for Kids Applications are due November 30, 2022.
