Virtual Event - "Ulysses Grant...A Visit at Headquarters"
On Saturday, July 18, 1:00 p.m., the Douglas County Museum will host a virtual event: “Ulysses Grant… A Visit at Headquarters”. This free performance will be a live-stream visit with “General Ulysses S. Grant” in the midst of his dramatic Civil War decisions after the Battle of Shiloh, 1862. Participants may join the live-stream presentation on Facebook as early as 12:55 p.m. on July 18.
History-lovers will enjoy an up-close narrative from the “General,” who was a gifted storyteller applauded by Mark Twain. This virtual one-person show runs approximately 30 minutes, followed by a short Q & A, and features Dan Haughey (hoy) Actor-Playwright, as U. S. Grant. More resources about the U. S. Grant presentation can be found at www.danact3.com.
For free admission to this “Road Scholar” virtual presentation, simply visit the museum's facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/docomuseum .
