Join us this evening at Festival Corner, 201 N Main Street in downtown Tuscola, for the last outdoor movie this summer. Tonight’s feature will be “Dumbo”. The show will start at dusk! There will be food and activities prior to the show. The Outdoor Movie Night is sponsored by The Tuscola Public Library. For more information visit: www.tuscola.org.
On Saturday August 24 from 12 pm to 1 pm at the Douglas County Museum in Tuscola, the Staff from the Anita Purves Nature Center will show you some of the key skills you’ll need the next time you’re stranded on a desert island. Learn to create fire with flint and steel or try your hand at a bow drill, practice navigating by compass in the wilderness, and develop some first-aid skills with natural materials. Activities will be appropriate for both adults and children ages 6 and up with a guardian. Come prepared to take risks and have fun. Free to attend!
